Susan Goodwin has served as Business Ink’s President since it's incorporation and is the majority shareholder. She has been at the heart of Business Ink’s growth from a small family business to the diverse, flourishing Company it is today. Ms. Goodwin provides executive leadership for all corporate functions. In addition to leading the executive team and developing corporate growth strategies, she continues an active role in the day-to-day activities of the business.
Jim Goodwin has nearly thirty years experience in print, mail, and fulfillment outsourced process management. Mr. Goodwin’s role in working with a strong executive team has been key to implementing the Company's successful business model. Supported by his operational skills and experience, Business Ink has significantly increased its production capacity, geographic reach, staff and annual revenue.
John Keating is responsible for Business Ink’s strategic use of manufacturing technology, large-scale project implementation, and standardizing the Company’s hardware and software strategies. Mr. Keating also oversees the implementation of the quality management system (QMS) at Business Ink, including the Company’s on-going certification to ISO 9001:2008 standards. He has implemented the secure data practices that have allowed Business Ink to focus on confidential data in the insurance, government and financial markets. Mr. Keating has also designed methods to apply Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) information, social security numbers and other private individual data to a range of secure, data-driven projects.
Ted Simmonds oversees all Business Ink financial operations, including budgeting, banking, management planning and human resources. His focus is on setting and executing corporate strategy for growth, as well as acquisition negotiation. Mr. Simmonds’ extensive career experience includes total P&L responsibilities, strategic planning, M&A leadership and product development. He honed his industry expertise at Hart InterCivic, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President. Mr. Simmonds has also guided companies through successful management buyouts and has effectively restructured operations to reduce costs and improve profitability.
Jim Riffe is responsible for directing all manufacturing and operational functions at Business Ink. He joined Business Ink in 2014 with nearly thirty years in the printing industry in the U.S. and overseas. He has held General Management and Operations positions with some of the larger printing companies including Moore, Moore Wallace, and RR Donnelley, and has been instrumental in some of the industry’s larger mergers and integrations. Mr. Riffe received his commission as an Infantry Officer upon graduation from West Point and served for ten years on active duty and another ten years in the US Army Reserves, retiring from military service in 1996.
Tom Oliva is responsible for working with Business Ink’s executive team to develop the Company’s strategic plan for long-term growth. His charge also includes developing the infrastructure to support commercial account growth. Mr. Oliva’s extensive background includes nearly thirty years of diversified experience in the commercial printing, forms, business outsourcing, mailing and fulfillment industries. Mr. Oliva also has extensive experience in corporate acquisition and integration. He consistently meets increasingly efficient revenue-generating objectives. Career highlights include full P&L responsibility for global businesses, managing global operations as President and COO of both Cenveo and Moore Wallace Incorporated, and managing national and regional sales and marketing efforts for RR Donnelley and Quebecor World (World Color Press).
John Berger oversees all aspects of marketing for Business Ink and has more than thirty years of experience in marketing, business and operations development and strategic partnership initiatives. Mr. Berger has substantial experience in direct marketing, search engine marketing, consumer communication and publishing. He has held numerous executive level marketing and business development positions, including Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Strategist. He was worked for Visant Corporation, RR Donnelley, G2market Network and is involved in numerous nonprofit organizations.
Jim Clishem has more than 35 years of experience building and growing technology companies and serving in senior leadership positions. Prior to joining Business Ink, Mr. Clishem was a Senior Consultant with Gerson Lehrman Group, where he focused on data centers, managed services and cloud software services. Before that, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Transaction Wireless and served as President and CEO of Active Power, a publicly traded clean-tech industrial solutions company. Mr. Clishem also served as President and CEO of Xodiax, LLC. He earned both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He also has an MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. In 2001, he was awarded the 2001 Distinguished Alumni Fellow from the University of Louisville, the 2001 KNITE Entrepreneur of the Year, and a Professional Award in Engineering from the University of Louisville.
Tamara Woods provides leadership for Business Ink’s legal and regulatory affairs, compliance programs and corporate governance activities. Prior to joining Business Ink, Ms. Woods worked as an attorney for a national law firm in Houston, Texas where she focused on corporate governance and business and tax planning for both private and public companies. Her background also includes extensive experience in tax controversy matters. Ms. Woods earned an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University, a J.D. and M.S. Accountancy from University of Houston, and a B.A. from University of California Santa Barbara. Ms. Woods is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Mike Woods is Vice President, Operations and has management responsibility for Business Ink’s Charlotte facility. In this role, he is responsible for client services, development, and production at this site. Prior to that, Mr. Woods was Business Ink’s corporate Controller and previously worked for Royal Dutch Shell for eight years in commercial, finance, and M&A positions. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the designation Chartered Financial Analyst CFA®. Mr. Woods has an MBA from Rice University and degrees in Business Administration and History from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Scott Turner joined Business Ink in 2009, bringing over thirty years experience to the Company's production operations. His management expertise covers diverse functions from large print operations to digital print to high volume mailing and fulfillment operations. His proficiency in ISO and Six Sigma quality system implementations is a part of Business Ink’s strong quality management and process improvement program. Previously, Mr. Turner held vice president and general manager positions for Transcontinental Direct and Cenveo. He has also served as Director of Operations for Modus Media International with responsibilities for enterprise resource planning, digital print, inventory management, reverse logistics, global procurement and end-user distribution.
Dee Marrs is responsible for the development and implementation of human resources policies and practices in support of Business Ink’s workforce. Ms. Marrs has twenty years of executive human resources expertise in a wide range of business verticals, including health care, technology, retail and commercial printing and direct mail, with both publicly and privately held companies. Her career also includes experience at RR Donnelley in both sales and operations management. Prior to Business Ink, Ms. Marrs was COO and VP Human Resources for Orthopaedic and Neurological Rehabilitation, Inc.
